Save Location

This shortcut has one job, to save your location with a note. When run, it takes your GPS location and asks you for a note. Afterwards, it saves that note to a list in the Notes app. On my Home Screen for vacations, I keep this note and this shortcut showing so that I can easily find and re-open my saved locations.

Setup

  1. Click here to add the shortcut to your Shortcuts app.
  2. It will ask you what you would like to title the Note with your saved locations. The default title is Saved Locations.
    1. You can modify this setting any time by reconfiguring the Shortcut (see GIF).

I recommend creating a folder for Notes like this one so that you can add a widget to the home screen and have your saved locations available with one tap from the home screen.
